Our services

Laboratories and services

Our services include morphologic (macroscopic, histological, cytological, electron microscopic), histochemical, immune-histochemical, biochemical and molecular-biological examinations of all organs. There are several laboratories for histological and cytological as well as for special investigations. In the department is a patient ambulatory for fine needle puncture. The optinal asservation of the services immediate processing and evaluation ensure highest quality.

Methods in general

  • Histological stainings and special stainings
  • Immune histochemistry, immune fluorescence, enzyme histochemistry
  • Molecular Tumor Profiling, NGS (Next-Generation Sequencing)
  • Molecular biology: In-situ hybridisation, FISH, Southern Blot, PCR
  • Electron microscopy

Diagnostic Tumor Genome Analysis (Next-Generation Sequencing, NGS)

Diagnostic Tumor Genome Analysis (Next-Generation Sequencing, NGS)

Related Information (german)

Molecular Diagnostics using resections, biopsies, or cytological smears. The analysis includes the detection of mutations using DNA and/or translocations (rearrangements / fusiontranscripts) using RNA. NGS allows the analysis of multiple genes in parallel and is a multiplex-PCR similar to Sanger Sequencing. The detection of translocations by NGS is similar to fluorescence in-situ hybridization (FISH).
The majority of the analyses can be performed using either fixed or fresh material (i.e., FFPE, EDTA-blood, frozen tissue, FNP, unfixed tissue (Direction PDF).
